The Kahma Group has acquired all the businesses within the Litha Medical division which includes Manta Medical and Filterworks.
The transaction has been approved by the competition commission and the date of implementation was 19th
February 2016. As of then the Kahma Group have been operating as the owners of this business.
The Kahma Group is a majority black owned and wholly South African business led by the former CEO of
Litha Healthcare Group, former Deputy CEO Morena Makhoana and former CFO Martin Kahanovitz. Both
Annie van Jaarsveld and Susan Hood will be running their business units Filterworks and Manta Medical
respectively.
Litha Medical will now be known as K2 Medical (Pty) Ltd and although a name change has been affected, the company will continue to provide the same premium products and customer focused service.
